On March 9, 2026, an Ethiopian cooking workshop with Mesfin Ayele took place at Café Global. Together, the participants learned about the culinary side of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and prepared traditional Lenten dishes.
In addition to cooking and eating together, Mesfin Ayele gave insights into the meaning of fasting in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, as well as religious eating habits, festivals and the associated foods.
