Border Experiences and Crossing Borders – Field Trip (to and across the Austrian-Slovenian border)
On the 27th of october 2026, an excursion led by David Kranzelbinder, Artistic Director of Pavelhaus/Pavlova hiša, took participants to and across the Austrian-Slovenian border.
First, the group traveled by bus to Spielfeld and visited the border area. Via Mureck, they headed into Slovenia for an external tour of Obermureck Castle (Grad Cmurek). Afterward, they visited a traditional Slovenian "Buschenschank" run by the Mihelič family, nestled in the Slovenian hills, where everyone enjoyed a meal together.
Following lunch, the group returned by bus across the Mur Bridge to Bad Radkersburg and visited Pavelhaus/Pavlova hiša for a guided tour of the current exhibition, Tunnelblick. To round off the day, they had a cozy group get-together before taking the bus back to Graz.
