Indian Dance Workshop (semi classical)

Workshop outline: 

• Basic semi-classical movements
• A short semir-classical dance piece
• A brief introduction to Bharatanatyam and basic movements

(All participants have the possibility to perform the learned dances at the auditorium during IAS Diwali celebrations - 25th October 2025)

No prior dance experience required, only your curiosity and love for movement!

Instructor: Ms. Pracht Phawde, BA (Indian Classical Dance)

"Originally from India, I now live in Graz, Austria, where I'm pursuing my Master's in Biotechnology while stying connected to my roots through dance. I enjoy performing both traditional Bharatanatyam and semi-classical dance, blending classical technique with contemporary music. My goal is to make Indian dance approachable and share its rythm and expression to everyone." (Prachi)
